I can't speak for everyone, but I can say that I've happily renewed my lease at Junius St a couple times. Maintenance issues get dealt with promptly and we've got a fun, professional group of people living here. This is probably in no small part due to Kitty and Joel's renting process. They try to get a good balance of people in the property and if someone is an aggressively bad fit they usually aren't around for long.

I like the price, the property is a fun little bit of shabby chic, and the residents absolutely seal the deal. I've seen where people have knocked the landlords about professionalism, but I've had no real issues. These are two people managing a few properties, not an office managing a few hundred cookie-cutter units in The Village or wherever. If I wanted a sterile, boring human storage unit and an office where they'll only know who I am if I don't pay the rent on time, I know where to look. J-street has a little character and I've got two human beings living right down the street if I have any issues.

I can not comment on the issues at the Worth apartments as I do not live there and have only been by the property once for a movie night that was put together by Katrina & Joel. However I have lived at 4625 Junius for 2 years, and have not experienced any of the issues described in the negative reviews. Katrina & Joel have always been helpful to me with the few maintenance issues I have had, they have been very understanding with me the few times I had to be late on my rent, and they work very hard to bring in residents that everyone else will get along with.

Quite simply, if you don't cause issues they will have no problems with you. If you are a problem then you ask for what you get.

My experience sounds just like reina's, I couldn't have phrased it better. I too was always on time with rent and was very courteous and patient with Kitty but she treated me like complete dirt. Oh I could go on forever but I'll spare you and just say that I have been gone for 2 years from that hellhole and they are still harrassing me for so-called damages. Kitty maliciously lied and is using a collection agency to try and squeeze over $3000 from me. Kitty was often emotionally unstable, would yell at me, lie, behave irrationally, ignore my maintenance requests for months then try to make me pay for any maintenance done. Like reina said, the cheap rent and great location is NOT WORTH the stress, frustration and anguish you will likely suffer from dealing with Kitty. Please stay away from this property. She is the epitome of slumlord!!

Do you like receiving respect? Do you want to get your money's worth? Looking for a place to call home? Let me save you a lot time, trouble, and stress. If its on JuniusStreet.com don't bother. These are the worse people, let alone landlords that I've ever encountered. I am not a bad tenant. Rent always on time, no exception. My apt had so many problems it isn't funny. Renovated? Well maintained property? More like lipstick on a pig. These people are unprofessional, rude, disrespectful, and if you don't have a witness, tape recording, written proof, something - they will take you for what you have. Oh, were you expecting that deposit back? Not a chance. They have no concept of wear and tear, even though we left that apt in better condition then how it was received. RENTERS BEWARE. The price may be right, but its not worth the aggravation. Lord forgive me, but I really hope in this instance, what goes around come around.
